The Hollow Bottom are looking for 120 people to join our Fun Racing Club and be a part of TEN Horses trained by Local Trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies.
Our racing club will include 4 trips to the gallops followed by breakfast at The Hollow Bottom and you'll gain exclusive entry to The Hollow Bottom Ball every March.

If our pub were famous for one thing, that would have to be our long tradition and connection to The Cheltenham Races & horseracing ingeneral. Our clientele would canter right up to the bar if we let them!
With long-time owners, Peter Scudamore and Nigel Twiston-Davies, it's not surprising it quickly became known as a pub with a racing theme.
When Hugh and Charlie took over, Earth Summit came to The Hollow Bottom to bless the pub then Bindaree stopped by to celebrate his Grand National triumph. We like to think they heard our nose bag was unbeatable and our stables were first class (fresh straw daily). We are proud of our countryside and racing heritage, fiercely fond of food and dedicated to our customers, both local and those trotting through. Throughout the Pub you will find a wealth of racing memorabilia including Richard Dunwoody's boots, photographs galore and the plates - horseshoes belonging to Earth Summit the only horse to win the Grand National, Welsh National and Scottish National, sitting beside the plates of his stable companion Bindaree, our most recent Grand National winner and Welsh National winner. There are race badges and framed newspaper cuttings all over the pub, a fascinating archive of history to take in at ones leisure.
Then came Cheltenham Festival 2010 !
What a week!! The Craic was Brilliant as always and then an unforgetable Friday afternoon having come so close with Kyhber Kim in the Champion Hurdle, we had an amazing hour with IMPERIAL COMMANDER winning the most prestigious prize in proper racing, then young Sam on BABY RUN, and a richly deserved Festival win for PIGEON ISLAND and connections. Well done to Nigel & the Team.........
and then cameThe Cheltenham Festival 2012 & The Local 1,2 with Synchronised & The Giant Bolster.......absolutley brilliant for all connections!!
We were the only place to be for The Premier Horse Racing event of 2012.
We started the week off with CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL PREVIEW on Monday 12th March 7pm which was a great night. with Carl Llewellyns NAP of The Festival Salsify amoung other great shouts.
our panelists were Richard Hoiles (Racing UK) Andy Gibson (pundit) Gary Wiltshire (The Belly on the Telly) John Parrott (comedian!) & our very own Carl Llewellyn giving us a number of Winning Festival Tips.
Tuesday 13th, Wednesday 14th, Thursday 15th & Gold Cup Day on Friday 16th.
We started every day with Breakfast & The Racing Post from 08:30
All Races were shown live on the big screens throughout the day with food served all day too.
Live Music every evening and our Exclusive Festival Menu from 6pm. We also showed all the racing highlights throughout the night & on the Big screen in our cosy Marquee.
Most Importantly "The Hollow Bottom Bus " took you home safely to wherever you need to be at the end of your evening.

New to the Hollow Bottom is the FREE 8 seater mini bus. This people mover is available to everyone for trips to and from the pub (subject to DISTANCE & AVAILABILITY)
